J. E. Purkyně Fellowship
Centre of Global Studies
The Czech Academy of Sciences
Fellowships and scholarly affiliations with the Centre of Global Studies in the Institute of Philosophy are based on calls from the Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS). One of these fellowships is the J. E. Purkyně Fellowship.
The objective of the J. E. Purkyně Fellowship is to attract outstanding creative scientists from abroad to work in research institutes of the CAS. The Fellowship supports both Czech scientists who have worked abroad for a long time period and top foreign scientists, usually under the age of 40, who are ensured adequate financial support by CAS Institutes. The Fellowship is granted for a maximum of five years.
Applications for the J. E. Purkyně Fellowship are submitted by the directors of the Institutes of the CAS after consultation with and on the basis of a recommendation by the Board of the Institute. Applications can be submitted until August 31 of the calendar year and will be reviewed at the latest in the fourth quarter of the calendar year.
