It grounds its problems and concepts in the appropriate philosophical context, with particular reference to Kant, Hegel, and Marx. Study options include Philosophy and Psychoanalysis, German Critical Theory, Recent Italian Philosophy, and various modules in Modern European Philosophy. The program is located in the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy in London, where teaching and research are characterized by a strong emphasis on broad cultural and intellectual contexts and a distinctive sense of social and political engagement.
