Interfere: Journal for Critical Thought and Radical Politics

University of Brighton

Interfere: Journal for Critical Thought and Radical Politics is an international, open access and peer-reviewed journal run by the post-graduate community of the Centre for Applied Philosophy, Politics and Ethics (CAPPE) in the School of Humanities at University of Brighton.

Interfere invites contributions that critically analyze –theoretically or empirically – the politics of the present. This may include the various forms of anti-democratic politics; the politics of occupation; legacies of colonialism and dispossession; race and racism; war and apartheid; legal and economic forms of violence; migration and refugee politics; the new political technologies; queer and gender politics; climate and environmental politics. We welcome contributions that imagine, articulate and create emancipatory spaces for political mobilization and social emancipation. These might include radical democratic imaginaries from all traditions including different forms of resistance; transnational solidarities; radical democratic struggles for equality; civil disobedience and revolutionary politics.

Interfere publishes scholarly articles, interviews, dialogues, political reports and other forms of critical reflection drawing on the full range of critique in the humanities and social sciences.
