Yale Critical Theory Loop

Yale University

We are a faculty working group that meets monthly to discuss the legacy of critical theory, to read each other’s recent work, and to explore new textual sources for a revitalized critical theory. Our goals are to develop a set of problematics and keywords for new critical work, drawing from the wealth of marginal theoretical activities in and around the different disciplines represented by the group. At present, we come from programs in philosophy, German critical thought, intellectual history, film and media, music, anthropology, Judaic studies, African American studies, religious studies, women’s and gender studies, LGBTQ studies, and several others.
