Asia Theories International Symposium

Taiwan Humanities Society

The Asia Theories forums and international symposia are organized by the Taiwan Humanities Society (THS), founded in 2009 by a group of Taiwan-based humanistic scholars and art workers. THS is devoted to coordinating Taiwan’s humanistic scholars and resources, supporting humanistic studies in Taiwan, enhancing interdisciplinary collaborations, and promoting dialogue between local and international academic communities.

The 2015 Asia Theories International Symposium was co-organized by THS and the University of California Humanities Research Institute. It was hosted by the Graduate Institute of Taiwan Literature and Transnational Cultural Studies, National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan. The theme of the symposium was “Waiting: Time/Theory/Action in Global Asias.”
