International Consortium of Critical Theory Programs | Directory of Programs, Centers, and Projects

Welcome

We are in the process of establishing an International Consortium of Critical Theory Programs and are developing a website that will provide a directory of academic programs, centers, institutes, research clusters or projects, archives, organizations, networks, journals and book series. We are writing to you because we understand you are associated with one of these kinds of programs or efforts, and we would like to collect basic information about what your program or project does in order to list it as part of a network that will be searchable in English, Spanish, and French.

We are seeking to include projects that draw from a broad range of critical theories and in which there is a preponderance of critical theory in the description and contents. We recognize that projects may well operate under other names: critical thought, critical studies, for instance, and we are open to all such submissions.

We are funded by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation intended to explore the possible structure and purposes of an international critical theory consortium. To that end, the online network will help to establish a global picture of critical theories now, create links among programs, and provide ways of searching for programs and initiatives in at least three languages. It will also publicize fellowships, events, archives, and programs of study.  In the future, the website will also provide information about program development, curricular offerings, and new research initiatives that can help facilitate exchanges and affiliations among scholars and programs.

We ask that you please take a moment to fill out an electronic form with information about your program or project. The form should take no more than ten minutes of your time. If you know of other programs, research projects, centers, institutes, that you think we ought to contact, please do provide referrals on the form. We will be in touch once it is possible to gain access to the website.

Thank you in advance.
