Center of Research in Social Theory, Philosophy, and Psychoanalysis

Latesfip/USP is a center of inquiry that aims to develop research in the interface between critical theory, psychoanalysis, and philosophy. Created by researchers and professors attached to the Department of Philosophy and the Institute of Psychology at the University of São Paulo, the Latesfip/USP has a staff of 17 members who focus on topics like: social pathologies, neoliberalism as a manager of psychic suffering models and the genealogy of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders’ (DSM) classifications. Latesfip/USP is also a space for public activities, forums, and debates organized throughout the academic year.
