Bard College Berlin’s B.A. degree in Economics, Politics, and Social Thought provides disciplinary training in economics and politics within the framework of a core program in intellectual history that encourages the thoughtful and culturally well informed application of social scientific methodology and principle. The program affords a study of the social sciences that is grounded in the history of human cultural change and reflection. The fundamental methods and models of contemporary economics are studied in dialogue with the movement of intellectual history, and in connection with theories of politics and models of social functioning.
