SociologieS

Association internationale des sociologues de langue française

SociologieS is the journal of the International Association of French-speaking Sociologists (AISLF) and as such publishes articles by its members, by authors involved in AISLF activities, and more generally by sociologists world-wide, mainly writing in French. It aims to promote shared reflection and remain open to a diversity of theoretical positions and methodological perspectives, chiefly through its classic “Théories et recherches / Theory and research” section and its more recent “Grands résumés / Essential abstracts” section. The journal also focuses on keeping up with questions currently being addressed in French sociology through the section entitled “Dossiers/Files.” Young researchers are given a voice in the “Premiers textes / First texts” section, and state-of-the-art research is featured in “Expériences de recherche / Research experiments.” Another of the journal’s goals is to bring new dynamics to the Francophone academic field by translating into French or republishing old or forgotten texts (in “Découvertes/redécouvertes // Discoveries/rediscoveries”) or by generating debate and discussion about the theoretical, methodological, and institutional challenges that face Francophone sociology (in “Débats / Discussion”).

The journal is published with the support of the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of the French National Centre for Scientific Research.
