Critical Global Studies

Brill

Early in the 21st Century, economic crises and the collapsing legitimacy of neoliberalism, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean, have coincided with an upsurge of social movements and an incipient trend toward more progressive regimes. The peer-reviewed book series Critical Global Studies presents manuscripts and anthologies that systematically explore the exploding contradictions in the global order as well as emerging alternatives that mark the transition away from neoliberal capitalist development. The unifying thread of these studies is that “another world is possible,” with emphasis placed on the critical and emancipatory insights of scholars and movement activists working in the Global South.
