Faculty affiliates, rostered in other units at the University of Colorado-Boulder, teach courses in their home units and conduct research on topics broadly applicable to Ethnic Studies. Graduate students may look to faculty affiliates for courses and guidance on the theories and methodologies most relevant to their research interests. Faculty affiliates have considerable training and expertise in a wide array of interdisciplinary areas and traditional disciplines. For instance, although many of the affiliates are tenured or tenured-track faculty in traditional disciplines such as Anthropology, English, History, Philosophy, Sociology, and Religious Studies, their work is deeply interdisciplinary and connected to many of the core concerns of Ethnic Studies.
