ASPECT (Alliance for Social, Political, Ethical, and Cultural Thought)

ASPECT is a signature interdisciplinary and critical theory-oriented PhD program and research hub at the intersection of the humanities, the social sciences, and the arts at Virginia Tech, in Blacksburg, VA, USA.
ASPECT has been around for ten years, has graduated over 30 PhD students over the past six years or so, many of whom are engaged in cutting edge critical theory research.
ASPECT also organizes an annual graduate students conference in the Spring that is attended by over 70 MA and PhD students who do theory at various institutions across the US and the world. It also hosts the online refereed journal SPECTRA (https://spectrajournal.org/SPECTRA/index).
