Critical Social Theory

We are three permanent, full-time members of the faculty in the School of Philosophy, University College Dublin, whose principal teaching work and publications are in the area of critical theory, mainly in the Frankfurt School tradition but extending beyond this: Professor Maeve Cooke (principally Habermas), Professor Brian O’Connor (principally Adorno) and Dr Danielle Petherbridge (principally Honneth). We are in the process of setting up a research cluster in the School. We teach at both undergraduate and graduate level and have long experience in PhD dissertation supervision in this general area.
