Global Studies Research Program
Aarhus University
The Global Studies Research Program is a new research entity within Department of Culture and Society at Aarhus University, Denmark. It consists of an international and transdisciplinary group of scholars sharing research papers and cooperating on various research projects. Participating scholars have backgrounds in sociology, anthropology, political science, area studies, history, and languages and take inspiration from scholars like Habermas, Foucault, Bourdieu, Latour, Spivak, Lacan, Butler, Bakhtin, Žižek, Derrida, Gadamer, Honneth, Said, Kristeva, Laclau, and others. We have different research interests, including gender, pop culture, politics, violence, fascism, knowledge, education, global networks, mobility, intellectual history, neoliberalism, and postcolonialism, and we participate in a national and international research network.
