Jnanapravaha Mumbai

Jnanapravaha Mumbai (JPM) is one of India’s leading independent academic institutes. Our sister organisation, Jnana Pravaha Varanasi, was founded in 1995 and has become one of the world’s foremost Indological research institutes. JPM began in 2007 with a mission to promote critical thinking in the arts, humanities, and social sciences in Mumbai. Through courses, lectures, seminars, screenings, conversations, performances, and publications, JPM offers a platform to engage with ancient, modern, and contemporary theory and practice, placing aesthetics, ethics, politics, and society into interdisciplinary conversation.
