The Forum on Contemporary Theory (FCT) instituted a Scholar-in-Residence Program and Senior and Junior and Library Fellowships for scholars from India and South Asia to visit the Forum as part of the Ford Foundation grant from 2005 to 2013. Twenty-seven scholars across disciplines from South Asian countries such as Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh visited the Forum for one to three months from 2006 to 2013 for the Scholar-in-Residence Program. The Forum also offered Senior, Junior, and Library fellowships from 2005 to 2013, allowing Indian scholars to visit the Forum to consult its library and to interact with the its academic staff and local scholars from Baroda. During their visits to the Forum, these scholars participated in programs organized by the Forum and spoke on their areas of research at Friday scholars’ meetings. The duration of each fellowship was one month, and eight Senior Fellows, eighteen Junior Fellows, and twenty-four Library Fellows visited the Centre during this period.

The Forum is in the process of reinstating new fellowships for students and researchers starting in 2017. These will include student support grants for young researchers to consult the FCT library and archive.
